What is Totball?
Totball has been specifically designed to expose the sports of Squash and Racquetball to children in the lower primary school and kindergarten level and introduce them to the skills and concepts of these games in a fun and safe environment.
Totball Sessions
Totball utilises modified equipment, games and rules to ensure that all players can participate successfully. Each one hour session comprises a broad range of activities aimed at developing co-ordination (particularly "hand-eye"), fundamental and perceptual motor skills, etc, which all focus on the central theme - FUN!!!
Quality Guarantee
Only Squash and Racquetball Centres who are affiliated with Squash SA may conduce Totball sessions and may only utilise appropriately trained Totball Instructors.
Not only does Squash SA conduct all training but has also established links with each Totball Centre for ongoing monitoring and support to ensure that the quality of the program is maintained.
Instructors are provided with updates on a regular basis so as to keep up with the latest skills, games and activities and teaching/coaching techniques.
Benefits of Totball
Only a small segment of each session is devoted to 'Squash and Racquetball specific' skills or activities. Not only will your child experience a sound introduction to these sports but will also learn skills which are transferable across to other sports that they may attempt.
Due to the nature of the activities being mainly group orientated, your child should gain confidenct while interacting with children of the same age in a fun and non-threatening environment.
