Help us recruit new players to racquetball

What is Racquetball 50+

Racquetball is described as a cross between the games of tennis and squash, although racquetball is easier to play and a lot of fun.

Racquetball 50+ is a program for people over 50 years of age that are looking for gentle fun and social exercise in an indoor sun-safe, no rain environment.

The aim of the program is to spread the word about the sport to people who want to get back into gentle social exercise.  Squash SA received a grant from The Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing to help achieve this.

A lot of us used to play squash because of the fitness benefits and the social scene around the club, but who wants to twist, turn, sprint and stop anymore!

Racquetball is a much easier game to pick up after turning 50 because the ball is so much slower and bouncier.

You can learn the whole game in about 60 seconds and there is no specific technique you need to play.

Squash SA is currently partnering with the Adelaide Hills Recreation Centre in Mount Barker, and will be running FREE Come and Try sessions through April/May on Wednesdays or Fridays.  Please contact the Adelaide Hills Recreation Centre direct to find out more!  adelaidehillsrc@belgravia.com.au or 8391 0222.
