2025 Autumn Pennant - A Grade Racquetball Grand Final

Batten down the hatches and warm up your glutes—because the 2025 Autumn A Grade Racquetball Grand Final was an indoor whirlwind that defied the chilly Somerton night!

With the racquetballs bouncing like toddlers on a sugar high, the Campbelltown HandlesPLUS trio—Sam Abishara, Nicholas Calabrese, and Lauren Aspinall—charged onto the court looking to defend their title. Across the court, the Adelaide Malibu crew—Michael, Zoe, and Steve—brought sun-drenched energy despite the winter frost, determined to dethrone the reigning champs.

First up: Sam vs Zoe. Sam turned the temperature up and the scoreboard higher, carving out an 11-point lead. Then Nicholas stepped in against Steve, who’s usually more stone wall than squash court wall. Nicholas was in turbo mode, slicing through the rally like a hot knife through butter and launching Campbelltown into a sky-high 27-point advantage.

Last came the showdown: Michael vs Lauren. Could Michael, Malibu’s maestro, pull off the comeback of the century? He gave it heart, hustle, and heroic lunges—but Lauren held firm. He clawed back 7 points, but the mountain was just too steep.

With racquets raised and smiles wide, Campbelltown HandlesPLUS once again reigned supreme as the 2025 Autumn A Grade Racquetball Premiers. Back-to-back titles, baby!
