Squash Sisters is a new South Australian initiative being launched through Squash SA to help create stronger pathways, participation and community connection for women and girls in squash — from beginners and returning players through to leadership, mentoring and long-term involvement in the sport.
The project is focused on building a welcoming and supportive environment that encourages women to feel comfortable entering the sport, staying involved, developing confidence and creating connections both on and off court.
While squash is the starting point, the broader vision is community:
- increasing female participation in sport and recreation
- creating social connection and belonging
- supporting confidence, wellbeing and leadership opportunities
- developing visible role models and mentors
- helping clubs become more inclusive and sustainable
- building partnerships with businesses and community organisations that align with these values
The launch will take place alongside the SA Women’s Classic on June 14th at the ARC Campbelltown and is intended to be both a celebration and a statement that women’s participation and community development in squash matters in South Australia.
We have our a first 5 participants in the 2026 Marjorie Jackson-Nelson centre for Women's sport program starting in August!
You can keep in touch on social media also.
