2026 High School Competition Celebrates Another Outstanding Season

Who were crowned champions in 2026? After another exciting season of school squash, the final trophies have been awarded and our premiers decided.

Congratulations to all players, teams and schools who took part in this year's High School Competition. From thrilling Grand Finals and close matches to new friendships and personal achievements, the season was filled with memorable moments both on and off the court.

Congratulations to all teams who reached the Grand Finals and to our 2026 premiers. The standard of squash, sportsmanship and teamwork displayed throughout the season was outstanding.

A special mention goes to Heritage College, who enjoyed a remarkable season by claiming premierships in Division 2, Year 10 and Year 9, while PAC 1 secured the Division 1 title and St Ignatius 2 claimed the Year 8 premiership.

A Record-Breaking Season

The 2026 Squash SA High School Competition featured 201 student participants, 38 teams, and six schools, making it our biggest season yet.

The continued growth of the competition has been fantastic to see. Team numbers have increased from 29 teams in 2024, to 34 teams in 2025, and now 38 teams in 2026, highlighting the growing interest and enthusiasm for squash among South Australian students.

Throughout the season, students proudly represented their schools while developing their skills, learning the value of teamwork, and enjoying regular competition in a supportive and welcoming environment.

More Than Just Competition

Following the Grand Finals, players gathered for presentations and team photos, providing a fitting celebration of another successful year of school squash.

As Competitions Coordinator, one of the most rewarding aspects of the season was seeing the enthusiasm and positive attitudes displayed across all divisions. The energy students brought to every round was infectious, and it was fantastic to watch players support their teammates, challenge themselves, and represent their schools with pride. The future of squash in South Australia is certainly in good hands.

Your encouragement, commitment and countless hours of support behind the scenes created a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
