Volley in the Valley: Racquetball, Food and Fun

Picture a weekend where the rallies are lively, the laughter flows and the fun keeps going long after the final point. From 15–17 January 2027, the Clare Valley sets the scene for a pre-season racquetball getaway—and the courts are already booked!

The excitement starts on court at Volley in the Valley, with singles and doubles competition bringing everyone into the action. Whether you’re teaming up for doubles or taking on a singles challenge, it’s a chance to get back into the swing of things and enjoy a weekend together.

Of course, a great weekend needs great food. Entry to the all-day competition is $40, including lunch—a welcome chance to refuel and swap stories from the court. Then, for those staying on, the celebrations continue at the Watervale Hotel with a presentation dinner and a four-course Forest Feast. At $75 per person, paid on the night, dinner promises a delicious finish to the competition festivities.

Now it’s time to turn that weekend picture into a plan. Let Richard and Matt know whether you’re entering singles, doubles or both, and whether you’ll be joining the presentation dinner. You’ll need to pay the $40 competition entry and confirm your dinner attendance by 16 December 2026. Building on last year’s successful competition, your replies will help them plan the teams and format. Pass the invitation on, too—the more friends sharing the fun, the better!
